The 5th and 6th Grades entered the “Recycled Sculpture Contest” in November sponsored by the Middletown Public Works Department and won FIRST PLACE for group entry! This was a great project and taught the class more about sculpture-making, the importance of recycling and most importantly, working cooperatively! The class received a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble, “Smencils” (scented pencils made from recycled paper), and their own canvas shopping bags. Nice job 5th and 6th grades!
